In Years 7 and 8 students are provided with an opportunity to experience all areas of the creative curriculum.

Courses are designed to deliver an introductory experience and allow students to develop their existing skills or develop new ones. Therefore, throughout Year 7, all students will have lessons in each of the creative areas. During this time they will study: Art, Creative Textiles, Food Preparation and Nutrition, Music and Drama.

When students reach Year 8 they re-visit the different curriculum areas. However, the focus of the curriculum shifts in order to provide an opportunity to learn within the context of more involved projects that provide an insight into the subsequent exam courses.

Towards the end of Year 8 students are asked to choose the areas of the creative curriculum that they wish to study during Years 9-11.
