Students Shine at Annual Trinity Festival with Stunning Performances
On the evening of Friday 11th October, 26 Humphrey Perkins students congregated at the Holy Trinity Church in Barrow upon Soar to perform in the annual Trinity Festival. In front of approximately 100 audience members, representatives from Year 7 to Year 11 took to the stage and wowed those in attendance by showcasing their special talents.
There were poetry readings, an instrumental piano performance, the junior and senior choir sang a song mash up and two dance trios also strutted their stuff.
Students also performed an exclusive excerpt from Legally Blonde Jr, the school’s upcoming musical performance which will be shown in February!
Having spent a month rehearsing and practising for their moment in the spotlight, our students dazzled and wowed the crowd who gave each performance an enthusiastic round of applause.
A huge shoutout, also, for the Junior Leadership Team, who supported as stewards for the evening.
On the event, organiser Kath Eastwood Padmore said: “We realise it goes above and beyond the mainstream curriculum to fit in additional commitments like this and we are very grateful.
“The joy it gives us to give an opportunity for our young people to perform and develop talent is wonderful [and] you could see their enjoyment in performing and taking part.”
Congratulations to all of our participating students and thank you to Mrs Quail, Mrs Hussey and Mrs Lockton for organising the event and supporting our performers.
We look forward to returning to Trinity Church next year!
