
Dominic Walker
Dominic Walker, a proud alumnus of Humphrey Perkins School, has always had a passion for problem-solving and discovery. His love for Maths and Physics sparked during his school years and guided him toward an exciting career path in Aeronautical Engineering.Reflecting on his time at Humphrey Perkins, Dominic highlights the school's role in shaping his journey. "Attending Humphrey Perkins allowed me to grow further as an individual and build myself up to be a better person, and my time here developed my passion for STEM, laying the foundation for my future in Engineering " he shares. Serving as Head Boy in 2021 was a standout moment, equipping him with leadership and communication skills that continue to benefit his professional development.
With the support of kind and dedicated staff, Dominic achieved excellent grades and went on to Loughborough University to study Aeronautical Engineering. He’s now successfully completed his first year, building a strong foundation for a promising career in engineering. One key piece of advice Dominic would love to share with students is to “take advantage of every opportunity, whether it’s academic, extracurricular, or personal growth. Work hard, stay focused, and remember that challenges are part of the journey - embrace them, but most importantly, learn from them.”
