At Humphrey Perkins we strive to make careers education more accessible for young people and ensure each one of our students, whatever their background, can make the right education and training choices so they have the best possible chance of succeeding. Our aim is for all our students to know about the different learning routes and qualifications available to them – including Diplomas, Apprenticeships and Foundation Learning as well as GCSEs and A Levels.

Introduction
This document sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Opportunities for access
The school offers a comprehensive Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme and an overview of this programme can be seen on the school website.
Please speak to our Careers Advisor to identify the most suitable opportunity for you.
The school will make a suitable space available for discussions between the provider and students, as appropriate to the activity. The school will also make available ICT and other specialist equipment to support provider presentations. This will all be discussed and agreed in advance of the visit with the Careers Advisor or a member of their team.
Providers are welcome to leave a copy of their prospectus or other relevant course literature with the Careers Advisor so that they can be displayed in the Careers Section of the school librar
Humphrey Perkins School is keen to offer access to external education and training providers and employers in the local area for the purpose of providing students with information relating to qualifications and apprenticeships.
The school can offer opportunities to take part in assemblies, run workshops and participate in dedicated Careers Days. The school can offer facilities for both small and large groups for presentations and events
